Finally, Munich College students took over the Audimax (biggest auditorium) in the munich university and keep it occupied. last week the protest started in the academy for fine arts. the protest is against college fees, the new bachelor-system, the overtaking of the educationsystem by the economy etc. all in all it´s part of the Germanwide education protest (called "hot fall") starting now with demonstrations, protests and sit-ins. Vienna was the first one to start sit-ins and within 3 weeks 22 german and austrian cities followed. lets give power back to the people and not let economy dictate our minds... i have to work today but tomorrow i definitely will be in the university to support the sit in. |

i had my first work day at the bakery yesterday. i just worked for like 4 hours and could have died. standig the whole time is really horrible. so, this morning my mum was bitching about my employer already because the payment isn't very good and they want me to come on sunday mornings, too (I AM A FUCKING CHURCH GOER) and i told them that i couldn't work that time blllllllllaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh and they were just like "well, we need to LOOK... and figure something out." well, i don't care what they're gonna figure out as long i don't have to work on sundays between 9 and 12. i really start next tuesday (yesterday was just a day to get to know everything), let's see how that goes. this weekend is the KULT. for the americans who don't speak german: it's a little band festival at my school that lasts a whole weekend. mostly local bands play there, there are also booths that sell food and BEER and some youth groups and stuff. it's really fun every year. if you wanna see pics you need to go on "bilder" on the website. it's on the left. i am gonna work in a booth this year. that means i have to work a couple hours every day this weekend and get FREE FOOD AND BEER. |

i just got done with the application for my (hopefully) new job. it's in a bakery in a new grocery store in our town. i would just need to work 15 hours a week for 400 euro a month(about 500 dollars). it's not the best pay but it's a start. i need money and if i wouldn't get a job, i wouldn't know what to do with myself for 9 weeks. today 2 friends and i rode our bikes to the lake. it was awesome. then a thunder started but we just stood under a couple trees and didn't get wet and smoked. it was nice. my friend who was in canada for a year was there, too and we talked about what happend the last year. she's experienced similar things like me. she had to change families because her first one was not nice and her host sister was a bitch etc. she stayed in nanaimo and she told me that there are so many drugies.... my dad just told me that my application is not professional at all blablablabla... but now he doesn't even wanna help me cause it's too late. he always criticizes everything but then he doesn't help me fix it. i hate that. i hate that so much!!!!!!! |

dinner
ok, i just came back from the dinner at the lutheran church that is a fundraiser for mexico mission! it was ok. "can i take your plate?" or "would you like some ice cream?" and after the dinner there was an auction where a lot of senseless stuff was sold for too much money. the hypocritical thing about that is that the stuff that kind of made sense didn't make very much money. that is what happens when you invite a bunch of old people that just buy the kitsch like a embroidered picture that says "do everything you do with the lead of love" or something like that. but my two scarfs i made were sold for 30 bucks each (regarding that i just paid 5 dollars for the yarn). all in all, we made like 2500 dollars with the ticketselling for the dinner and the auction. a little bit more fundraising and our flights are paid for.... :) my (real) parents would really like that, i think... |
